Guest guest
Ever since Thanksgiving last week, my dd (age 13) has been absolutely miserable to live with. She's miserable herself, too. The only thing I can think is that there was something added to the organic turkey I bought. Unfortunately, I can't even remember the brand. I can' t even look at her, and she starts hitting herself, saying she's horrid (WE don't speak to her this way!) and crying. Her brain is a fog and she's not getting any academics accomplished, either. We've gone back on the intro for a few days. Any suggestions for weathering the storm? Guest guest
Ok, I looked it up. it was an Organic Prairie Turkey. Ingredients: Organic Turkey. She never cheats on her diet. She's recently given up bananas so that she can further get rid of yeast. Could this just be more die-off? alana > Ever since Thanksgiving last week, my dd (age 13) has been absolutely > miserable to live with. She's miserable herself, too. Guest guest
Is she getting enough carbs and calories otherwise? That is my first thought. People who don't eat enough regularly have self esteem problems. It is a hallmark of people who are anorexic. B. Guest guest
I think even with organic there is a 2% law where they do not have to give ingredients. There may be a spice or starch or something that doesn't agree with you guys. You could write the company and ask them for future reference. I noticed (for the first time) on my yogurt starter--Dannon All Naturals that it doesn't list all the strains, just says it has acidopholus. Now I'm only going to use the dry starter. I used both to make it smoother. Anyway, the 2% law. Debbie 38 crohns scd 11 months > Is she getting enough carbs and calories otherwise? > That is my first thought. Guest guest
Hi Alana, Try giving her the standard treatment for die off. Also green tea and S Boulardii. All these help my daughter who is forever getting into the wrong foods. Mimi
Guest guest
Hi Alana, > > Ever since Thanksgiving last week, my dd (age 13) has been absolutely miserable to live with. She's miserable herself, too. The only thing I can think is that there was something added to the organic turkey I bought. Unfortunately, I can't even remember the brand.>>>> It could be what the turkey was fed. I was speaking to a farmer recently and she said that before the slaughter some farmers may fatten up birds with extra grains etc. So, if she normally eats free range birds this brand may be troublesome for her. Does she normally eat turkey? <<<<I can' t even look at her, and she starts hitting herself, saying she's horrid (WE don't speak to her this way!) and crying. Also epsom salt baths to help clean out her system may help. Sheila, SCD Feb. 2001, UC 23yrs, PCOD 22yrs mom of and >
Guest guest
This sort of behavior appears in my DD when something in her that is VIRAL kicks in...addressing yeast and trying to be healthy can actually cause a flare as can a bacteria exposure - always a poss with turkey, natural or not...an issue with all meat products unfortunately no matter how careful we are.... It is definitely worth getting her viral titers checked...and if these behaviors continue I strongly recommend Pfeiffer Treatment Center out of Chicago as they do outreach clinics in different cities...vaccine injured girls' issues often manifest at the onset of puberty per the Pfeiffer folks..as autism injured boys obsess on car wheels, lights, and other stims...girls obsess on calories, their own emotions and people...but the root cause is all the same - biochemical imbalances as a result of having their biochemistry thrown way out of whack by toxic overload, with the heavy shot schedule at such an early age being a contributing factor....the behavior you described sounds like a perfect fit for what they address...you have the right diet in place, and a girl still willing to try and get better....RUN to them, with her, if you can. We do not regret the money that we spent there - bit pricey, but their supplements are definitely helping us to recover our child. Good luck. If she pops with BIG viral issues, healing her immune system will help with that, and will also get rid of her yeast issues....yeast is an indicator of IMMUNE dysfunction and a flag for viral as well as gut issues. Guest guest
See also my other post just now with the title " Help... " .... There is a gut virus going around our parish right now. I'm wondering if that is a factor in how she's been feeling. I'll check into the Pfeiffer Treatment Center. alana > This sort of behavior appears in my DD when something in her that is > VIRAL kicks in...addressing yeast and trying to be healthy can > actually cause a flare as can a bacteria exposure - always a poss > with turkey, natural or not...an issue with all meat products > unfortunately no matter how careful we are.... > > It is definitely worth getting her viral titers checked...and if > these behaviors continue I strongly recommend Pfeiffer Treatment > Center out of Chicago as they do outreach clinics in different > cities...vaccine injured girls' issues often manifest at the onset of > puberty per the Pfeiffer folks..as autism injured boys obsess on car > wheels, lights, and other stims...girls obsess on calories, their own > emotions and people...but the root cause is all the same - > biochemical imbalances as a result of having their biochemistry > thrown way out of whack by toxic overload, with the heavy shot > schedule at such an early age being a contributing factor....the > behavior you described sounds like a perfect fit for what they > address...you have the right diet in place, and a girl still willing > to try and get better....RUN to them, with her, if you can. Guest guest
What is your weather like these days? Rain? Fog? Overcast? Damp? If she has yeast, behavior and health suffer during the abovementioned weather.
