Guest guest
Eileen, An ERCp is the gold standard to diagnose correctly, any form of pancreatitis. If your pancreas looked fine, it most likely is. Even with AP attacks the pancreas looks slightly outta whack, so to speak. I wouldn't dwell on this if I were you. If you had had any other test done, I would wonder myself, but not if you had an ERCp done. Enjoy your diagnosis and the fact that you have been given a clean bill of health as far as your pancreas goes. My mom was trying hard to explain this disease to lifelong family friends. She was really trying hard and when it came to the eating part, mom had it down right. She said, Sandy isn't on a certain diet with this disease. She simply has to eat the way the rest of us should, but don't. I truely thought th was so wonderful of her to say. Be good to yourself and stop worrying about your pancreas. Truely, if something was wrong, the Specialist would have seen ANY sign at all through an ERCp. Sandy in CA -------------- Original message -------------- I'll be honest and say I still wonder though. The specialist this week who did an ERCP and found everything free and clear seems fairly certain I do not have CP. But I still wonder. What if I do have CP but I have no damage because it's so early on?? What if he is just like those other MD's who miss it??
Guest guest
Sandy, you rock. This is exactly what I needed to hear. We decided to celebrate with dinner and a movie this weekend and booking a cruise. After all the months of worry, depression, etc etc it really is cause for celebration. I want to be sensitive to everyone here, but I feel I have been blessed and wish to god everyone here could wake up tomorrow with a miracle of a healthly pancreas.
