Guest guest
Hi everyone, I just wanted to let you guys know how I am doing at my two month update. I have lost 60 pounds..... YES! 60!! Can you believe it? I am very excited. It has been 3 years since I was under 300 pounds. I went to the doctor the other day and everything is good. He did not run my blood test yet but I am going back in a month. I am suffering a little from depression so he has put me on Sarafem. It is supposed to help with disorders relating to hormonal imbalances such as PMS. Lord knows, I need that right now. I am usually a very happy and nice person. Lately, I could hardly live with myself. Lucky for me, I am married to the most wonderful, understanding man. He just reminds me that it is hormonal and tries to laugh it off. I have had a few experiences with dumping, but I think my body is finally adjusting and my mind is finally learning. It is very hard to change old habits. But, without this surgery I wouldn't have been able to do it at all. I really would like to apologize to all of the pre-ops out there. I have not been very good at responding to some of your posts. I remember being tied to the computer as a pre-op ... wanting to know any and everything everyone had to say. I own a hair salon and have been very busy the last month or so. Down here in FL, our " season " has started. I work some really crazy hours. Sometimes I go in at 8:30 and don't get home until 10:00 or 11:00 at night. I am an advisor for a local youth club and an officer in a ladies club also. I don't have much time to spend on the computer anymore and when I am home... my husband reminds me that I need to spend more time with him. He was always understanding of my time spent with you guys as a pre-op. But, now as a post-op ... he wants his attention back. I can't blame him. Really, the only reason I can be on here today is because... I had to stay home from work ... sick! I have a really bad head cold. I am feeling a little better since I got a hold of Barbara and she said I could have Sudafed. I just wanted to let you all know that even though I don't respond to each post... I am reading and keeping up with what is going on. I am here if you want to e-mail me personally. And, I will be glad to be a contact for any of you who want to e-mail me. Thanks for taking the time to read my post. You are all in my prayers and I wish you continued success as I have had on your journeys. Terri K :^) MGB 10/12/00 340/280/1?? I will know my goal when I get closer... I haven't even weighed 165 since the eighth grade.
