Guest guest Posted November 11, 2005 Report Share Posted November 11, 2005 Dick I am not totally sure what you are referring to when you said 'clipping of themuscle in the stomach'; but I might venture a guess that you mean a sphincterotomy of the sphincter muscle(s) that connect the ducts to the intestinal wall. Sphincterotomies are very often done during an ERCP as well as taking a manometry reading of the sphincter prior to slicing it. Stenting can be done to open up the ducts and the sphincters. WellI think that might be what you were referring tobut Ic ould be totaly wrong. If I am excuse me. I hope that you and are both well and your suitcase by the door remains untouched.
