I amglad that you diet is improving. You might want to be a bit

careful. I remember after one of them, I got so excited that I could

eat my favs I went a little over board and it was not pretty. Going

for so very long on just liquids are full liquids then trying to

tackle pizza was too much for my lazy intestines to handle. So pace

yourself.

As far as working out, I wouldn't consider any heavy lifting until 12

weeks post op. You wouldn' t want to pop something in there. The

best exercise you can do right now is just walking. A little bit

more each day until you can feel your stamina increase. I try to

walk every day but my roots are in pretty deeep on that couch over

there too...*S*

When I got sick, I pushed all my friends away. Same 5 girlriends

since we were 12. Thats over 30 years, sweetheart. I was always the

one leading the band, organized everthing, life of the party. I just

coulnd't stand myself when I was/am sick. When I was at my worse I

could barely move, between the extreme fatigue and all the meds to

keep the pain bearable I was a veg. When I had the g-j tube place I

did get a little stronger and would venture out. On the good days I

would call one maybe. I never even told them my surgery dates.

After recovering from the total I started getting out a little more,

that was fun. Well until those stupid hernias and now here I go

again, more hernia and adhesions. I have to admit tho, I really like

them being all pissed off at me for keeping them so much in the

dark. But they do respect that I needed to be that way and that I

still dont like talking about it.

Dont give up on your friends. Ya'll are young and its hard at your

age to think about having a chronic illness. They simply just dont

know how to deal with that, dont now what to say, and well denial is

easy and takes over your consciousness when you least expect it.

When you start getting out more, and you bump into them and they see

you well and happy, something will just click and it will be like old

times again. Maybe even better.

I hope every day gets better and better for you. Oh and I am looking

forward to Thanksgiving too! I have missed the last 2 and really

want it to be a big family thing. We'll see. So you go for it girl,

whats a few germs amonst family.
