Guest guest
Hello Everyone. My name is Lee, I guess you can say I am beginning the first steps of my journey. I have been studying a lot about weight loss surgery for the past few months, I have met with many real life people that have had Gastric Bypass and they are doing great. I currently live in South Florida, the Fort Lauderdale area and now that I have decided that this surgery is what I want to do, I have started to look at who does them. I heard about Dr. Rutledge in North Carolina and the Mini-Gastric Bypass surgery on the Internet. It seems he has many satisfied patients and has a good system for the whole process. I attended a seminar on Bariatric surgery recently, and learned a great deal about the different options available. Dr Rutledge was mentioned for his Mini-Gastric Bypass technique, however they went on to say that the National Bariatric Association is trying to get Dr Rutledge to change away from that technique. They mentioned that there is a risk to patients of MGB to develop stomach cancer after a number of years. As I said I am new to all of this, and am only concerned. I am 26 years old and looking at having this done, I am only trying to cover all the bases. I would hope to have a long healthy road ahead of me. If anyone can comment on this please do so. Thank You Lee

Guest guest
Hi, Lee, Welcome to the gang. If you go to Dr. R's clos.net site he gives a detailed refutation to the cancer criticism. So I hope you get the rest of the story there. Sperb >>> lmcintire@... 12/12/00 09:01AM >>> Hello Everyone. My name is Lee, I guess you can say I am beginning the first steps of my journey.
