Guest guest
Thanks for that article Margaret.....Today I am not doing too well again, if this continues, my only option would be to pay full price for the Creon again. As my supplement to Medicare, Humana will only pay for the generic drugs, and that is why I am on Lipram.... I'll tell you one thing, it's a whole lot better than that Ultrace. I have the systemic sleroderma & the HLAB-27 gene that cause ankylosing spondelitis from my Mother's side...so far the scleroderma is out but I also have Raynauds. It's probably a mixed-connective tissue disease, cause I do have DISH in the spine, diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis & that is auto-immune, from HLAB-27......whatever I'm glad to know my options. Thanks again,
Guest guest
You could contact the Cystic Fibrosis foundation and see if its possible to appeal that with Humana, since pancreatic enzymes fall into a very special case (non-FDA approved drugs). If somebody has appealed sucessfully, it would be somebody there. Appeals are complicated, but sometimes they work. The folks at Solvay might have some information on how to appeal and get the name brand drug, as well. Margaret > the Creon again.
