Guest guest
HI , Thank you very much for the prayers. A pseudocyst is a growth peculiar to the pancreas. It is a cyst-like sac that fills with pancreatic fluid on the surface of the organ. It is called a pseudocyst (meaning that it is similar to a cyst, but not the same) because, unlike a regular cyst, it has a lining of epithelial cells. It is generated by the excretion of pancreatic fluid. The fluid itself is very destructive, and starts to digest everything it comes into contact with. The pseudocyst structure keeps the fluid from migrating around the peritoneal cavity, which would cause erosion of other organs and blood vessels. Yes, it's a nasty little vermin. There is a danger that pseudocysts can burst, which is a very loathsome event requiring immediate hospitalization. They can be drained by inserting a needle through the abdominal wall into the structure and withdrawing fluid. Heidi Hessgriffeth has dealt with these for some time now and can probably give a better explanation of the process. I believe hers are controlled now and not giving her a major problem. Am I right Heidi? Anyway, I hope I don't have them, but I will need a Cat Scan to be sure. Thanks again, ! Jerry/NC ************************************************* > > You got it Jerry.
