Please see my recent sea salt post to about my confusion as to why sea salt is ok! (besides seaweed, isn't algae, spirulina and other such (plant)stuff from the sea illegal?) Just for curiousity's sake, wouldn't it seem logical that stuff would end up in sea salt? (Well, if I haven't been too concerned about gluten in play dough, I probably won't lose much sleep over this, either. It has had me wondering, though, since I use salt everyday) However, I am going to continue to switch back and forth. I'm accustomed to that, now. Plus, my sea salt says it has iodine on the front, but then on the back, it says " not a dietary source of iodine. " Go figure. have a nice day, Cyn

Hi , The sea salt is from evaporated sea WATER so it is not from plants. I think the main concern with seaweed is that it's hard to digest. But don't quote me on that. B. And any stuff from those plants that ended up in there would probably be so miniscule as to not be a factor.
