Guest guest
Had a great visit with the PCP today. I'd told the gastro that I did not want another ERCP right now and he got fussy. I know he means well but I'm totally burned out on tests at this time. PCP gave me the gotta check for cancer sometimes lecture and then left it up to me, bless his heart.I've just got to come back for more blood work. Do y'all ever just get so you want to let things sit for a while? I've got moderately good pain control (for the most part-last night was terrible), my weight is holding OK (well, I lost eight pounds but that was because I was on clears for while, no biggie)and I just want to sit down and watch some movies and not think about anything!Denial, burn out...?I know something else will go wrong, and for some strange reason its easier on me to have stuff done during crisis than it is during a lull....I just want to enjoy my lull. I know it won't last. Margaret
Guest guest
Hi Margaret - Sorry for butting-in on your coversation. But I told my doc NO MORE ERCPs, too. Hey, it's not their body and they don't have to deal with the repercussions, except maybe to present you with a larger bill. Good for you you for telling him so!
