Canned pineapple

As we are in the beginning of stage 2, I have some

questions about canned pineapple (in its own juice of

course). I think it's already cooked, since you can

use it in jello (the bromelain has been destroyed in

cooking), so...can it be eaten out of the can? Should

I cook it further? Blend it?

I'm just not sure.

Thanks!

I would steer clear of anything in a can as our kids are already high in

aluminum and tin.

Just my humble opinion.

Cindy,

Your point is noted. However, fresh pineapple is

pretty much out of the question due to cost issues

here. Although it may be in season soon. I am lucky

enough to live in the Los Angeles area where there is

a decent supply. I will definitely look!

Yes, it can be eaten out of the can.

Try a little a see how it goes. If you have any trouble you can

puree it and see if that helps. The key is to start with a small

amount and gradually increase it.

I prefer the taste of fresh but it is usually tres expensive. Frozen

pineapple is another option.
