Guest guest
came home very rattled from his appointment. His liverenzymes are still rising and now they are concerned about his large spleen. He's going to have the ercp tomorrow still and then doppler studies of his abdominal vessels? They can't figure out why the liver keeps going up and the spleen keeps enlarging. Now he is really scared. I am so, worried about him. Our children aren't suposed to suffer like this. Hope the ERCP doesn't cause him more grief.
Guest guest
> > , Please keep us posted. My prayers are with you all. K. ..\ Thanks . did pretty good yesterday. I don't have the report with me, but in my terms she found the area where the pancreatic and liver ducts enter the small intestine was stenotic. She placed some tiny cuts and then gradually stretched the duct enough to place a stent. She was quite happy with the result and he will go back Wednesday to have the stent removed. She said even though the barbs were removed, it was so stenotic, she doesn't think it will fall out. Hopefully it won't immediately close up. I can't remember the rest of the pancreas details, other than the tail still looks good. He felt alright when he woke up. HE had a general anesthesia and his pain was no more than usual. Today, it is a little worse, but still tolerable. So, we have our fingers crossed that he gets away without an acute attack. I'm just so glad that it is over and she found something that may be causing his liver enzymes to keep elevating and she did something about it. She also agreed to take his case for clinic also, so he will still see his " fellow " , but she will also see him in clinic on other days and she will be his attending for emergencies, etc. not just his surgeries. So, all in all it was a very good day. Thank you again for your concern and mostly your prayers. Blessings,
