Guest guest
Hi all. I just tested positive on a lactulose breath test. The place where I had it done only mentioned that it was to test for too much bacteria in my system or something. My doctor's office simply left me a message saying they called in a medication which seems to be an extremely strong antibiotic but have not explained the positive result or what it means. Has anyone tested positive for this or does anyone know anything about it. I have not been positively diagnosed for pancreatitis yet but they suspect it and i'm wondering how this could be connected...or not. Thanks. K p.s. does anyone else have attacks when they take medication...I do when I take medication of any kind....so this high dose they are wanting to give me concerns me. Guest guest
Small bowel bacterial overgrowth. http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000222.htm I get this often. Drug of choice now is Xifaxan. Minimal side effects, works great (for me anyways). I've taken enough flagyl for this over the years to fill up a transfer truck. What antibiotic did you get?
