Guest guest
, It is possible to have a bout of pancreatitis and not be chronic. BUT if you are having cysts on the pancreas, I have to agree whole heartedly with all the other responces to RUN to a new doctor! Even if you don't have Chronic Pancreatitis my bet is that you are having acute attacks and we all know that acute attacks can lead to being chronic. If you can avoid that one, it's best to do so. Hold off on doing any tests until you find another specialist worth his weight in knowledge of the pancreas. You deserve nothing less than that. Sandy in Ca -------------- Original message -------------- Sandy, Had an ercp for the bile tract and sphincterotomy, however never was diagnoised with cp. Had very serious acute post ercp pancreatitis which resulted in 3 cysts that have never gone away and weeks in the hospital. The doctor did not preform an ercp of the pancreas. in Toronto, Ont., Canada
