Then added salt to taste. Came out pretty tasty, not like 'real' gravy but pretty good for a first batch. Guest guest Posted December 4, 2007 Report Share Posted December 4, 2007 For making gravy I usually do the boiled onion with a little veggie broth and add the broth from the turkey or chicken (cool and then skim off the fat). If I want to make a sauce for different recipes (stews, chicken fajitas etc...) I 'll pour off the juices and if in a hurry put them in a large frying pan - turn the heat up to med high/high and stirring constantly allow it to cook down until the sauce is thick.
