Guest guest
Just wanted to jump in re the topic of Endoscopic Ultrasounds. I believe it may be used quite accurately and certainly less invasive, with little harm of damaging any organs, and for scar tissue/fibrosis which is what I have, they diagnosed chronic pancreatitis (5 features) and I've never undergone the ERCP. It may be in the doctor's ability to do the test or maybe because there are so very many different reasons & causes for this disease. This is just my opinion. Of course, I went into the the original G.I.'s office saying I suspected chronic pancreatitis with fat malabsorption. If you have been sick long enough I got my own medical books & started to read, and hey the symptoms are rather classic. But I'm sure they all have valuable uses, and alot depends on the patient. I did not even tolerate the EUS well, as I woke up before it was over & then had adverse reactions to the intra-venous demoral. The main thing is getting the diagnosis, and the sooner the better. With best wishes to all.... in ton
