Thanks again for all of the info!

OK! GREAT NEWS!!! I called CIGNA yesterday just to see what type of war I was

going to have on my hands. They said as long as it is approved and suggested

by PCP, they will cover the surgery!! I am soooo excited. I already have my

OB/GYN appt. scheduled for the week after Christmas. NOW, I just need to find a

doctor in Raleigh that supports this surgery! I would love any suggestions. My

PCP is in Rocky Mount and I now live in Raleigh. Please send any referrals my

way!! I would love to have this surgery by the end of 1st Quarter 2001. Once I

complete my packet and send to Dr. R., how soon should I hear from his office?

I think my biggest hurdle is Insurance approval.... Thanks again for all of the

help you guys have given me!

OK--try Zebulon Family Physicians ()--Katrina Padgett is my PCP (she

is not a doctor, she is a PA, but Dr. Marsh has to approve EVERYTHING

she does). Also, Dr. Alan Mask (he's the TV doctor on WRAL) is very supportive

of Dr. R's surgery--Dr. Mask has a friend who has had the surgery and he thinks

it's wonderful. Dr. Mask runs a weight loss clinic himself--he's a great

doctor--very understanding, like Dr. R, of the isssues we face. His number is

.

Good luck!

Sherry,

I'm in Raleigh and go to Dr. Taavoni at Capital Family

Medicine. I've been going there since '91 so I don't

know if she would recommend this procedure for a new

patient but it's worth a try.
