Guest guest
I'm new to the group, and wanted to stop by and say thanks to everyone who has posted in the past. From reading past messages, I have learned so much and hope to learn more. My story is as confused and strange as many of the others who have posted. Since January, I've been hospitalized for severe abdominal pain and diarrhea (which eventually began to occur 20-30+ times a day). I was diagnosed locally with a number of ailments, Diverticulitis, IBS, Crohn's, gallbladder disease, etc. It wasn't until I went to the Cleveland Clinic last week, that anyone had ever mentioned my pancreas. My doctor at the Clinic after viewing my past records and mostly talking about my stools, told me that I had steatorrhea and told me to immediately begin a prescription of Creon 20, two tablets with every meal and one with every snack. The Creon has worked miraculously on the diarrhea/steatorrhea, but not on my pain. I return next month for a secretin-enhanced MRI, for which I was told I would need to be sedated. If anyone has had this test, could they please tell me about their experience and what to expect? Also, I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has taken Creon 20 and how it worked for them. Thank you already for the dozens of posts I've already read. Terry in Kentucky
