Guest guest
The only peaches our store had has malic acid added for color retention. Is this legal? Thanks, Pam
Guest guest
Are you talking about canned peaches or frozen peaches? Canned peaches must be canned in their own juice. If frozen peaches contain only malic acid, I would think that would be ok. mom to -12 SCd 4/23/

Guest guest
They are frozen. There was citric acid, one other that was legal and then malic acid listed. Malic wasn't listed on the legal list so I wanted to question it. What brand of fruits have you found canned in their own juice?? I haven't been able to find any and would LOVE to know what brands you've used. Would it be ok for him to eat those straight from the can (I'm guessing it would be ok)?? Guest guest
In my case only pineapple, unfortunately, though I think I heard of someone finding something else, but it's rare. It is my experience that canned pineapple needs to be cooked in the early stages, but try some--just a small amount at first--and see how you do. mom to -12 SCD 4/23/
