I had a different experience.I woke up in the OR AFTER they were finished(not

during the operation). It was perfect. I even started telling the nurse

anesthetist what to do,and how to do it.This is so typical of me!LOL! They

were laughing.I even tried to scoot myself off the table. My head and feet

went to the stretcher, but my torso and butt did not. We all laughed. I did

doze in and out in recovery, but was able to fool the nurse enough to get the

non-rebreather off and a nasal cannula on. I did have periods of apnea, and

dropped my sats a little, but the beep would wake me up and I'd smile and say

I'm fine. Once I was in the room I got my PCA pump hooked up and I was ready

to go! My hubby says I'd lay there, eyes would roll back, then I'd get

hyper-alert and say " Let's go walk " . Steve Parsons taught me to

walk, walk, walk! It was an excellent experience, and I wouldn't be afraid to do

it again!

Good luck to every pre-op!
