Guest guest
I am making my second batch of yogurt. The first batch went ok, but I would like some ideas of how you flavor your yogurt. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. TIA!! Kris
Guest guest
Hi, Kris, However you flavor it, add the flavors after the yogurt is finished and has done it's resting in the fridge. I usually add honey and vanilla. Sometimes we add SCD jam, which is basically thick pureed fruit plus honey. Peach is the easiest because I use frozen peaches from the store; then I don't have to peel anything. I just dump the peaches into a saucepan with a tablespoon or so of water to get it started, cook for a while, pour into blender and puree, put back in saucepan and cook until it gets thick enough. At some point during the second cooking I add honey " to taste " . We stir this jam in to our individual servings of yogurt. Bonita posted her flavoring method not long ago.
