Guest guest
Okay - I am really going to do this thing. I leave Monday for Durham. Surgery on Wednesday. Despite my best efforts I have not been contacted by Dianne at Dr. Rutledges office so I am going to Durham without Meds. So I have several questions for those of you who are post-op. 1. I have cash- 1000. for Dr. R - 255 for Clinic - 910 for Anest... Will they accept cash or should I get money orders? 2. Who do I give all the above monies too? 3. My clinic is on Tuesday at 1PM. Should I go straight to the clinic and get my prescriptions there or should I first go to the Doctors office? 4. Is there anything that I should take with me that I might be forgetting or that those of you that have already been through this wish you would have taken? 5. Do you think Santa Claus will know I will be at the Hawthorne or do you think he will leave presents under my tree in Tucson? (Yes, I have been a good girl this year) Thanks for any input! Guest guest
Debby, I would suggest that you get the meds off Dr. R's web site. If it isn't too late. If it is too late I would think you should be able to get them filled in N.C. without any problem, just don't forget your insurance card. My scripts came to $69 with insurance. However, I think they were around $300 without insurance. I would personally get some money orders. I wouldn't feel comfortable carrying that much cash. What would you do if you lost it? I am a self pay and I had the bank make out the money orders so nobody could alter them. I haven't heard from Dr. R's office either. I am not sure what time group is. Is it only at 1:00 on Tues. If so, then I will see you there. Good luck, ~Michigan ****************************************** I also have not gotten my meds yet. I think Diane will be calling them in on Monday. If not my pharmacist said I could have them filled in Durham and he could do the refills even though the RX is out of state. Guess with computors things have sure changed. So I am not concerned about it. I will bring my insurance card and credit card. I plan to put all the deposits on my credit card also. Why not get the miles? lol My surgery is 12/22, but I plan to stop to see all of you with 12/20-21 surgeries on the 21st after my clinic. See you then. Guest guest
Does anyone have the phone # for the anesthesiologists office. Also need directions to pay, unless they will take a credit card over the phone. Margaret, when do you leave Durham. I hope to arrive Wednesday. Thanks, Joni

Guest guest
Debby You don't have to have Dr. R's Office get the prescriptions for you. Have your PCP call them in - I did. Just copy the page out of the manual on the pre and post op meds and fax it to them. The anesthesiologists money has to be paid at their office at least one day before surgery. I called them and got directions. It is about 15 minutes from clinic. The other money goes to Dr. R at his office. I paid when I went before clinic to pick up my chart. Give yourself plenty of time to do all of that before clinic starts at 1 pm. Personally, I would not carry the cash. I got money orders. Good luck! I hope you have as great an experience as I am having. I have soooo much energy. I will be seeing you at clinic on Tuesday!! We are at the Hawthorn - room 101. Give me a call when you get in. Vicki and I will give you the whole scoop! Margaret in St. Louis (Durham now) MGB 12/13/00 --- missdebby@... wrote: > Okay - I am really going to do this thing.
