Good Point Sally,

I never thought of that. I have a smooth top seramic glass top. Liz, or

others what to do?

Colleen

[ ] Safest cookware for smoothtop stove- was

Heavy Metals Test Results from DAN!

We just got a new range with the smoothtop ceramic glass cooktop. For those

of you with

the same type, what kind of cookware can I use that will work well on it AND

be safe? The

instructions say they do not recommend cast iron or glass. The pots must be

totally flat

on the bottom to make even contact with the heat.

What about stainless steel? Copper?

Thanks!

Sally

Kavitsky has investigated this in detail. Take a look at the

archives. I think Mercala and Le Crucet are OK but you have to ask

him. Copper and Stainless are out.
