Well, I have put on my thinking cap and thunk and thunk, and with help

from some other supporting folks on the list, I have come up with

the.....

" MGB (this can stand for mini-gastric bypass or many great blessings)

Spirit Dancer pin.

They are lovingly handcrafted by myself and are available for a $5

donation. These monies will offset my surgical expense for January 4,

2001. These pins are for each of us regardless pre-op or post-op, for

family and friends that supported us in time of need. Maybe it is for

the person that always answered your emails about MGB, or you want to

give one to the husband that was by your side the entire journey, the

insurance adjustor that finally approved your claim, or your littermates:

these pins are for them.

Each pin features a free form spirit dancing. Each are hand crafted from

polymer clay and measures 1 1/2 inches across and 2 1/2 inches long. The

arms are outstretched and the legs are moving to the " dance " ! There is a

large swirly colored heart (green,magenta, hot pink) in the middle to

signify those that have gone on the journey before you, those that are

fighting insurance battles or those just waiting. You are not alone in

your journey or " dance " . The " big heart " includes Dr. R, the staff, the

hospital, everyone on the list and more! Hopefully when you look at this

pin, you will be inspired to count the great blessings that have (or are

going) to come to you because of this life saving surgery and a

willingness to help those that need it before their " dance " . The spirit

dancers are androgynous, but smaller versions are available for a tie

tack for the men folk.

I got my pin in the mail Saturday! IT IS GREAT!! I

LOVE IT!! I am soo sorry that I have not been posting

but my fall last week has made it impossible to sit

very long. If anyone has posted to me, I'm sorry I

haven't read them. Everyone who is getting ready for

surgery this week, GOOD LUCK AND I WILL PRAY FOR YOU!!
