Guest guest
Hi, I've seen someone's post about IGg test. We have done it for our daughter thru Genova and she has egg intolerance (3+) and some foods like potato, casein, gluten, lettuce, carrot and yogurt (1+). I don't give her potatoes, casein, gluten as it is SCD illegal. Does it mean she actually has a high intolerance for them ? and they also suggested food rotation diet. I plan to do with SCD, does anyone have experience in interpreting this test result (i.e food to be avoided for 3 months for (1+)? thanks. Another thing that I found very hard to do is to add one food each time for a few days. How do you actually manage doing that? Can anyone give a suggestion to make it possible for me to do so. My daughter never likes eating the same food twice unless she really really likes them i.e fruits and meats and her tummy is still distended. We always have to feed her before going to bed which is usually around 10.30pm at night otherwise she will be up at 2am to 6am and sleep again until we wake her up for kindy. Improving very slowly with lots of accidents of illegals happening ( picking up scraps from the floor at kindy, eating paints, barks, anything she can put in her mouth, occasionaly raw fruit in the supermarket when I forgot to watch her like a hawk)
Guest guest
Hi, Leena, Are you giving cod liver oil? The vitamin D in it may help her sleep through the night without feeding her so late. Some do rotate foods with SCD, but it is hard, and for most people should not be necessary. We had the tests done and received the rotation suggestion, but did not do it. We did stop eggs and peanut butter for some weeks or months (I can't remember) and then reintroduced and saw no bad effect so put them back in to 's diet. I'm sorry your dd does not like to repeat foods. It really is important so that you can know for sure what she might be reacting to. Could you try a food 3 days in a row, but in different recipes. Example: Day 1 plain, Day 2 in a smoothie, Day 3 in a pancake?? mom to -12 SCD 4/23/
Guest guest
I am going to look into the IgG question you had, because I have the same question. But your daughter is not getting enough sleep I think. A lot of our ASD kids are chronically overtired. Have you tried melatonin? She should be sleeping around 12 hours a night. My son now sleeps between 6:30 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. and that's the best we can do (he's five). We give him melatonin 30 minutes before bedtime, an SCD legal brand. B.
