Guest guest
We are in the first days of SCD. DS (suspected Celiac and ASD) has been diagnosed iron-deficient (close to anemic). Floravit fixed him up once before. Where a child (3) is near-anemic, does supplementation to resolve that override early SCD approaches, or should the early-SCD approaches be taken first and foremost? If the latter, how long until he should be able to take Floravit? Floravit: No gluten, no lactose, and no hydrolized plant proteins. Grape, pear, blackcurrant, cherry, blackberry and carrot juice concentrates.
Guest guest
Hi, Baden, You always have to do what you think is best for your child. On SCD we would urge you to try to get more iron from foods, such as liver. There are even capsules with dried liver if your family hates liver. Juice concentrates are sometimes legal and sometimes not depending on the process used. The Welch's grape juice and the 's tomato juice are two where there process has checked out and is ok, but we generally call concentrated juices illegal since we don't know how they were processed. mom to -12 SCD 4/23/
