Guest guest
My grandson has a reassuring ,what sounds like a dry cough. He can not have honey, yeast free diet, so I went to the local health food store and got a homeopathic liquid for cough. On the box there was no additives or preservatives then when I got home and gave it to him he started acting like he use to when he got additives, very hyper, crazy behavior and drunk. So I reread the bottle and there was a preservative in the ingredients , potassium sorbate, so I dug the box out of the trash and just as I knew it was not on the box in the ingredients! So now I'm back to square one, if I take him to the doc. they want to give IV antibodies and I'd rather not. I was looking for oregano or olive oil extract but could not find it for children. So does anyone have any suggestions. ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Never miss a thing. Guest guest
Whoa, IV what? Antibiotics or antibodies? I'm confused. Why would they want to do this for a recurring dry cough? It is winter. Heat makes the air very dry. Many children have coughs from the dry air. Have you tried something like a humidifier in his room? B. Guest guest
Would vodka that fresh ginger had soaked in for longer term storage be okay with a little honey and lemon for the cough/could type thing also for a child? I guess it would be like the old hot tottie type thing. Obviously not a recurrant thing, just when it is bad. Bonita Re: Cough due to nasal drip. Guest guest
I've got the blessing (I'll take them however I can) that now that my son has been so long since removed from traditional eating, he will at least try most things. I figure that that concoction is still better than any otc or scrip things and all of it is legal. Bonita Re: Cough due to nasal drip.
