Guest guest
Nyomi, I am sorry to hear your son is in so much pain. At the hospital are you seeing a pediatric gastroenterologist? If not, could they call one in to consult for you (or even an adult gastroenterologist if no pediatric specialist is available)? If your son is in such acute pain, it worries me that they are not taking more action to alleviate his discomfort! Guest guest
Hi Kathrina, > > Autism is a different ball game. It is different per child. I have a friend who is still on SCD eating only vegetables and berries and still has severe constipation and rectal bleeding.>>>>> Are the vegetables peeled and cooked? Is your friend using some of the harder to digest veggies (broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower...)? Berries *will* make constipation worse if they are raw or if the skins and seeds have not been seived out. Has your friend tried the constipation protocol: http://www.pecanbread.com/new/coprotocol.htm If your friend has tried all of the above (including all steps in the protocol) please have them post their info to the list and we can make appropriate recommendations to alleviate the constipation. If uncomfortable discussing this onlist he/she can contact me offlist at sheilat@... Unfortunately a lot of people don't see (or use) the constipation protocol or miss some of the helpful details in BTVC and go on suffering needlessly.
