Guest guest
Afternoon all! Just a quick update. If you'll recall, " Wisconsin Dr. and 2 associates visit NC Dr R after learning of MGB surgery from patient name of . Wisconsin Dr. comes back and is very interested in doing the procedure here in Wisconsin (where it currently does not exist) and asks if she'd like to be the first - says YES!!! Dr.My date is set for 1/16/01!!!!! Just got the phone call from the Surgeon's nurse. Met the Dr. for the first time yesterday, we talked for about an hour. Talked about possible bile reflux - yes, it does exist and yes it is a risk - but as we all know, it may/may not ever happen. How much of a risk? Very hard to determine or predict, everyone is different. Enough about that. It's something that's been covered a zillion times. He will be doing the same pre-op/post-op drugs, etc. I'm very excited, but very scared/nervous at the same time. I'm very thankful that I can have this here at home in Wisconsin - instead of having to travel to North Carolina (no offense). Have a great Holiday everyone!!! Waunakee, WI MGB 1/16/01 IN WISCONSIN!!!
