Guest guest
Good morning - I'm in search of information for high blood pressure and high cholesterol - natural ways to help that are SCD compliant. He had these problems before SCD but SCD has not helped in this area for him. Everything keeps saying things like oatmeal & whole grains which is not SCD - besides hubby would not eat oatmeal every morning anyway texture issues He is taking Krill Oil (best we can do because he is allergic / anaphylactic to fish and peanuts), niacin, CoQ10, Vit E, Magnesium. Thanks! W.
Guest guest
Hi , I came across an article while throwing out magazines that said people who consume 1 tsp of cinnamon per day showed a 20 percent reduction in cholesterol. I think it's worth a shot, and I love cinnamon, so it's not hard for me to do. Going to grass fed meats instead of grain fed meat will lower cholesterol. Cattle that are fed corn will produce meats filled with fats that will jack up your cholesterol. Strange but true. Cholesterol has been demonized, perhaps unfairly, as the amount of cholesterol circulating in the blood is not a real indicator of health. The way people use cholesterol varies widely, and the fact that there is more cholesterol in the blood isn't necessarily cause for concern. http://discovermagazine.com/2003/dec/greatest-unanswered-medical-questions/artic\ le_view?b_start:int=1&-C= Cholesterol guidelines have now been lowered to the point that no one can achieve them without being on a statin drug. That makes the drug companies very happy of course. B.
