Question about yogurt in baking

We are taking 1/8 tsp. of yogurt for now; one son has moved to 1/4 tsp.  But I

made two quarts a week ago before we started taking it at night.  Can the

yogurt that's sitting in my fridge be used in recipes even if we're only on

small therapeutic amounts of the live yogurt?  Once I bake with it, it kills

the beneficial bacteria, right?  But it could come in handy to make cream of

carrot soup or in baked goods.  IF I'm allowed to use it.  Any suggestions?

Thanks,
