Guest guest
Well, am I ever glad to be on the other side! I had my MGB on 12-20. I was the 1071 patient and I took 33 minutes. The first two days were rough. I had terrible pain on my upper left side. Now it is just aching. I feel good and everyone is amazed that I look so good. I am living on fresh yogart and chicken soup. I am not hungry but sure get to feeling weak when my bod needs food. Because clinic was cancelled for today, I left NC early and came home. I have not run any fevers and my bowels are working fine. I am so exited as I look into the wonderful future I have infront of me, thanks to the talents of Dr. R. - who is a wonderful and very charming person. I think I will go to the office today - I really feel fine. Debby (Tucson,Az) Mgb 12-20-00 319LBS
Guest guest
Hi Debby: I cannot stress enough that when your body feels weak, drink, drink, drink,. It's so important to make sure you don't get dehydrated. It happened to me about 4-5 days after surgery. Once I started to drink more, I felt much better. Guest guest
Welcome to other side, Debby!! Now, hang on to your seat girl, cause' you're still in for a bumpy ride!! When other post ops use to tell me that it gets easier after the 2nd month, I wondered why? What could be different? Well, it's the fact that you're gonna go through some adjustments, Sweetie, and there are no set answers for adjusting. It is all personal for each of us.. But, hang in there. It all gets easier with each day. Try not to feel like you're messing up with your eating, like eating solids too fast, or eating too many times a day (like I did), because later you'll find out, it didn't really matter, you're belly is only going to allow you a very little amount of food, solid or liquid. Please don't hesitate to come online and ask questions from all of us, but remember everything is different for each of us. Maybe one of us has went through what you'll be going through at the time. Okay? Trudy I am home Well, am I ever glad to be on the other side! I had my MGB on 12-20. I was the 1071 patient and I took 33 minutes. The first two days were rough.
