Guest guest
Hey girl, we are almost neighbors. I live in Mt. Pleasant. I had my surgery on 12-21-00 (Thursday). I went home on Sunday 12-24-00. We had a 13.5 hour trip and it went great. I obeyed orders and let my mom do all the driving. (I hope she didn't give me an ulcer :>) The reason I left early was #1 there was no clinic on the following Tuesday because of the holidays and #2 I did real well with surgery. I had no pain/nausea, no fever, I was urinating without difficulty and up and walking the same night of surgery. I probably would have stayed until Tuesday, had there been a clinic and this is recommended of course. I had my staples out today, no problem. I have had no bruising or bleeding at any of my sites. My only problem is that I don't know if I am hungry and I don't know when I am full. I drink something and think I should feel full, but I don't. I stop anyways because I don't want to stretch my new stomach before it completely heals. I would have never thought I would feel this good being 5 days post op. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. ~Mich MGB 12-21-00 I am not sure what I really weigh. My sister took out my staples at home. (she works for my doc.) So, I didn't weigh on good scales. However I was 294 at surgery and I think that I am 280 according to home scales.
