Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I am doing well on meds and diet and wanted to check in for support and encouragement as well as further advice. BMs are down to 1-2 trophies in the am with no blood or mucus. Had a slight issue with hemmroids with the illegals but they are on their way out too. Other than the Pentasa, have been doing 30 mg of pred in divided doses (helped the side effects quite a bit) along with an antianxiety called Klonopin (highly reccomend for anyone who's had psych side effects from Pred), Protonix for the indigestion (helping bring the abd distention and discomfort down considerably). My supps are multivit, calc/mag and oil of oregano 6 drops 2xday. I am working with my MD on the slowest possible Pred taper. I will be consulting with the naturopath on the possible Candida complicator as tomorrow! So diet now is mostly like this: coffee and alm muff in am (no C at all with this - one T with no blood), all kinds of eggs, omletts & cheese. occ turkey bacon fried crisp (can't tol greasy pork) snacks: cheese, cooked apples, pears, ripest bans, another muff lu: ususally dinner left overs dinner: all nat lean chicken, pork, beef, all manner of squashes (even spag tolerated), gr beans, carrots, tried green peas (no prob), some shred onion for flavoring, tom sauce. started 1/8 yogi again. Confession (I'm sure I'm not the only one here): had some illegal sugar cookie treats at Christmas (wasnt' prepared enough and the emotional family stuff hit hard) which definately showed a problem but now back on track and even did some act charcoal to clear. Tried a clementine but had some L side pain (afterwards so that's a no go - duh! raw fruit) Any suggestions - is this a good mix (ignore the illegals obviously) right now and is there anything else I can eat? Feeling deprived doesn't work for me and having a better idea of what to do next and when would help me. Also anyone who has had experience with working with a naturopath treating candida who doesn't have experience with SCD and may want to do a Candida type diet - I'd love it if I could learn from your experience. Thanks, Liz K UC 4 yrs SCD 8/7 --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile. Try it now.
