Ingredients:

Organic apple puree concentrate, natural apple flavor, organic lemon

juice concentrate. All sugars are found naturally in the fruit.

Thanks!

Products made with apples can be among the worst

offenders. (Elaine used to cite a story of a

so-called baby apple juice which was sugar water

and apple flavor. No genuine apple juice at all.)

In any case, even if the concentrates could be

trusted, the " natural apple flavor, " which could be anything, is not legal.

Hi! i bought a HUGE box of Fruitabu online a month ago after having

read the same ingredients that you listed online. BUT, the box of

fruitabu clearly lists " soy lecithin " as an ingredient at the bottom

of the list... then it adds " Product Contains Soy " This would make

the product illegal.

I ended up giving the whole huge box away. I am not sure why they dont

list ALL of the ingredients on the website. I was really disappointed.

" soy lecithin "

is not illegal, although Elaine felt that it was

not needed as a supplement -- that one could get

better lecithin from egg yolks. However, the

" natural flavors " render this product illegal.

Even if the soy lecithin does not, there may be other soy in it.

Ugh! I thought I finally found a " real " treat my son could have! Actually , my

mother went looking high and low to find something she could give him on

Christmas Eve at her house. Oh well, someday we will get further along and have

more options! Thanks everyone for responding!

Stretch Island fruit leathers are legal, correct? I've been buying fruit

leathers from Trader Joe's. The organic fruit leathers ironically have all

kinds of illegal ingredients such as: Pectin, " Natural Flavors " ...; however, the

regular ones are merely Fruit and Asborbic Acid and claim " no added sweetners " .

Thanks for the clarification, Marilyn. I assumed lecithin was a

saccharide or protein derived from soy but its actually just a lipid.

:) I have stopped using several things because of that, so its good

to know that its legal. Thanks!
