Hello, I am back from Durham! Dr. Rutledge is soooooooooo

professional, kind, considerate, etc. I had a difficult surgery, due

to my own illnesses going into surgery. He did not fuss with me at

all. He wanted me to be comfortable and get well! I stayed in the

hospital three days due to, oxygen levels, pain, diarrhea, etc. I

have had two bouts of bile reflux, one more severe than the other. I

called Dr. R at 2:30 a.m. and he called right back! I was extremely

impressed. On our last night in Durham, several of us got together

with Dr. R. at Golden Corral. He is truely personable. I would

suggest this surgery to anyone who is physically unable to do

everyday things. This surgery is serious. Dr. Rutledge would be the

first one to tell you, I am sure! It is not the " easy way out " . You

have got to need it, want it, and then some. I am still having

difficulty adjusting to the fact that I have had surgery. Yes Karla,

I am listening to you.....I needed to have this done to LIVE! I am

working on that phrase......can you tell? To you pre-ops, this is

serious, make sure you are READY, be prepared, and know what you

want! Because as much as I wanted and needed the surgery, it was

difficult for me. Thank God that we are all different and

my " friends " all did well! Hello to everyone from the week before

Christmas!
