ok, women I need your advice again.

It's a few days before that womanly time....my Gi dr. said that if my cycle

gives me flares, then the next step may be humera...my obgyn said to take alleve

around the clock( which duh is a no no) 3 days before the period ( of course I

don't want those options) ....I read that diet helps....watching caffeine,

taking magnesium ( which is in my Feeda calcium supplement) I am going to stick

to the really basic foods that have low salt.

Does anyone have any other scd ideas that will help me get through this week

alittle easier and not regress??? Otherwise I will stick to hot baths heating

pads, lots of water to drink.

Thanks.

Sandy,

I do have some info to share with you that may be

helpful. I am wondering what kind of contraceptive you

use. My doctor, who is a D.O. and who is a strong

proponent of functional medicine, told me that anyone

with inflammation issues (I have RA) should not be on

the pill. If you have already had a child, she says

the copper IUD is the best. She told me that if I did

not get off the pill she did not think she could help

me! She told me regular doctors do not believe that it

has an effect, but she thinks that is wrong.

So I do not know if you are on the pill or what you

are using, but she believes the IUD will help. I just

got my IUD so we will see how this goes.

Otherwise, I would go to the intro diet. It can't hurt

and it should be helpful.

yes, after my second child...and 4 difficult pregnancies....I had my tubes tied.

I will stay on the intro I think the few days before it hits. That is

probably the best.

Thanks for the info on the pill, because I too have heard both thoughts that

it can help, but also may hurt those like us with health issues. My friend just

decided to go off hers and try other methods because of all the upset with the

pill. She said she feels much better too.

Maybe this tip will help other women out there eh?
