Apple Sauce- Musselman's brand

I have been using the Musselman's Home Style Natural Unsweetened apple

sauce. the ingredients are Apples, water and ascorbic acid. I called

to confirm the ingredients and I was told this is it, nothing else

added. My daughter does enjoy it and it is very tart. Anyone else use

this? Anyone call and found out different info than what I got re

ingredients and it being SCD " legal " ?

I also love this applesauce. I did not call to confirm the

ingredients, but have not had any problems with it. I go through a

jar of it every two days. Its really tasty to add a little cinnamon

to.

I do not know about Musselman's. I contacted Tree Top

applesauce and I received a letter on letterhead as

Elaine recommends.

I know that Tree Top is OK on a personal level,

because I tried a Trader Joe's sparkling cider and I

had a reaction to it. The Tree Top applesauce has not

bothered me. It does not bother my son either.

So yes, I am cheating with the Tree Top. I confess. I

have RA and it is very difficult for me to prepare the

apples. So I feel OK with this decision.
