Guest guest
Is there someone in his life that is particularly special. My boys will do anything for their grandpa. Maybe that someone special can get him to eat the foods. Can he tolerate eggs. If you take a cooked drumstick or other pieces of cooked chicken and dip them in some beaten egg, you can give them a quick (about 10 seconds is all it takes) deep fry in grapeseed oil (this is rich in omegas) and then immediately upon removing them from the oil, sprinkle them with sea salt. My boys love chicken this way. You can try it without the skin too. I made cupcakes at first too with ground chicken that I put in my processor. I added applesauce and an egg and some baking soda. (honey if tolerated) I put it in cupcake papers and baked them. They loved them. I think the best way to get them to eat is to try not to give them replacements of the foods they like right away. Try giving him just the beef patties (you can add applesauce and egg to them before you cook them). Put them in a pan with water (I always add water because it cooks them with out burning them) on the stove. Try offering these to him for a day or two. He may hunger strike, but he will more than likely go for the SCD legal chicken on the third day because he hasnt had his favourite chicken for two days. (The quick fry in the oil is still easily digested as it isnt really a true deep fry that some dont tolerate well.) It sounds like your little one likes to crunch things. Have you tried apple and pearsauce popsicles? My little ones still crunch away on about a dozen of these everyday. They dont have too have such a huge variety of foods. I would say after eight months of scd my boys still only eat about eight different foods and only take Cod Liver Oil as their only supplement. They still do not eat nuts or nut butters or any of the cheese. We have been eating the yogurt for about a month now. The way the food is preped in the beginning is just as important as the kinds of foods he eats. The body has to be able to digest it or it will cause harm. Would he be ok for a day or two without his supplements or meds? I hope it works out for you. Cindy Mom to and 4 years old SCD 8 months recovered, MUCH MUCH better, ECHOLALIA is GONE! Tried again.
