Guest guest
Lynda, I have a suggestion for helping your mother. I felt the same way about sharing with my mom and I am 53. I gave her not only the manual but also a copy of the insurance letter from Dr. R. I felt that it would help her understand that I was making a competent decision. After reading that letter she was my best cheerleader. Good luck! Beverly in NC MGB: 12/5/
Guest guest
Great Idea Beverly, Thanks for suggesting it, I will share that with her. I think she will get more comfortable with the idea after she thinks about it and gets to look over the manual..... She worries a great deal about my health, and knows I have to loose the weight. It just never occurred to her that I might need to resort to something that to her is so drastic. Guest guest
Lynda; If you think of your patient letter as your mother asking 10 questions about the surgery and then answer them as thoroughly as you can you will: 1. have you patient letter completed 2. Have something that will help your mother understand Jerry A suggestion for Lynda > > > > Lynda, I have a suggestion for helping your mother. My parents are dead, but I have good friends who are like family and that is what I am doing... I am advising them to do research and giving them all the info that was given to me... Good thinking! Guest guest
Another thing I am doing is taking the letter from Dr. Rutledge on his statistics and sharing it with everyone including the insurance company... How can they not be impressed.. Connie A suggestion for Lynda > Lynda, I have a suggestion for helping your mother. I felt the same way > about sharing with my mom and I am 53.
