Guest guest
Hello all, I just got my computer set up in my new house, and after 3 weeks you can imagine the time it took to download all my MGB mail!! Hours!!! Anyway I am now 6 weeks postop, feeling pretty good. Of course, I moved (from Greensboro NC to Durham NC) when I was 4 weeks postop, then went out of town for the holidays, so I've been pretty distracted from my physical stuff. No nausea, no vomiting, no dumping (although I did have one episode after eating a little steamed shrimp & broccoli with like a TEASPOON of garlic sauce, where I felt horrible for about 15 minutes). Can't give you any stats, I don't have a scale - and I still need to find a new PCP here in Durham - any suggestions would be welcome. He/she would have to be at least half as wonderful, kind, knowledgable and supportive as my Greensboro PCP - a hard act to follow! Any fellow Durhamites, please send me your recommendations!! Even though I haven't weighed, I know that I've gone down about 2 sizes. I figure I'm maybe in the middle of the average loss range, that's fine. I still struggle with getting the vitamins and Actigall taken as often as I should - hoping that I can actually have a regular routine now that I've moved (I was commuting 2.5 hours a day for a year and a half) and can focus on taking all the supplements properly. Haven't started exercising regularly yet, but I will be gym-shopping this week and look forward to getting my routine started. I can tell you that just routine moving (getting up, walking, unpacking, etc.) has been much easier than it was 2 months ago. So is sleeping - my apnea is way improved already. Happy holidays to all - and thanks for any recommendations you can provide for a new Durham PCP! Kate
