Guest guest
I am hoping for some input from some of the experienced crowd out there. I need to decide if I need or should take child birth classes. My mother and sister(has 1 daughter 6 years old) both think that I dont need to take a child birth class even though this is my first one. Reasons: Mom, you end up doing your own thing in the long run. Sister, I spent 300.00 on classes, labored for 30+ hours and then ended up with a C-section. It was a waste. My doctor and mental health counselor both have said that since I am a first time mommy it would be benifical for me to take classes. So here I am (in case you are not familar with my situation I will be doing this without the fathers help) trying to decide if I should or should not take classes and who I should ask to go with me if I do? I dont really have the extra funds to pay for a class, but I would find them if enough of you thought it would be a good idea to attend. This may seem funny, but I watch all the birth stories on TV. My mother and sister think I am sick (mentally tormenting myself by watching these on a regular if not daily basis). LOL But I really enjoy them and find them very educational. Thanks in advance for the input. ~Hugs~ Shalonda @ 31 weeks with baby boy Malachi
