Guest guest
Heidi u sure r smart.Well said! To: mb12valtrex Sent: Saturday, October 20, 2012 6:30 PM Subject: best treatment for autism I have some people emailing me off list on what is the best course to take, but I like to share with everyone. I have actually wrote a book, and will one day publish it. I am not sure why I keep putting it off, since I finished writing it 3 years ago. But, anyhow, I want to share some tips because many did this for me. After 6 years of research, I would have to say that mercury is the main contributor. But. . . many report dumping mercury and other toxins when they treat for worms, viruses, bacteria, etc. so chelation is not the only way. Some people report that treating for pathogens rids more toxins than chelation. I am not voting, just repeating. If I had to do it all over again, with my same knowledge now, I would skip some treatments that were too much too soon. Recovery is quicker when you go slower. I would also focus more in homeopathy. Getting the immune system rebalanced is very difficult, and I had to learn to and still do, ignore the junk medical reports in the newspaper and the typical thinking that bacteria can be killed with a couple of weeks of antibiotics in unhealthy folks. Chronic conditions are a totally different thing. They need chronic (long-term) treatments. Mercury is not acting alone. There are pathogens involved, pleomorphic without a doubt. Pleomorphic means the pathogen changes to overcome and adapt to it's environment. This is the only thing that can explain why our children respond for a few days or weeks or even months to a treatment, and then the symptoms return. Also, this explains why they fluctuate in and out of symptoms. I think the mercury's lead role is that it hampers our bodies, allowing these pleomorphic pathogens to take over. When we are healthy, they can not. They are not as strong as HIV, which is also pleomorphic. And keep in mind that HIV takes years to create symptoms, which is often seen in other pleomorphic pathogens. Also, keep in mind about opportunistic infections. These are germs we all have all the time, but our immune system fights them off unless we have immune stress or something weakening our immune system. Common ones seen are Strep., Clostridia Diff., yeast, protozoa of many different types, etc. The Pleomorphic pathogens are Lyme, Bartonella, Mycoplasma, XMRV, and more of course. Those of you who know about Herpes, you know that it comes and goes. They call it latent when you don't have the bumps or cold sores. Anyhow, there are many Herpes-types of viruses that don't cause any bumps at all, but are associated with chronic fatigue, mood swings, immune system issues, etc. Many people test positive for Lyme who don't have symptoms, which we would refer to as having a latent infection. Having said that, symptoms can only come from a few things: two main things are inflammation blocking blood flow and digestion issues. If you look at many of our kids, in reality they are kind of like drunk people. They slur their words, are clumsy, are smart, but can't keep their thoughts together to carry out everyday tasks (also notice many have green tinge to their skin around their nose and mouth which means low oxygen). So, it's complicated, but this is all due to lack of oxygen and nerves communicating. If you Google, you will find that those with autism always measure having abnormally low blood flow in the brain, which is reflected in those machines which show blue or red or yellow colored images indicating blood-flow. Thus, get the blood flowing to the brain. You can do this short-term by treating for inflammation, blood-thinners, blood vessel dilators, etc. Long-term will be to kill the pathogens causing the inflammation, which will take a long time because since their immune systems are weak, they will need much more help than a smidgeon of anti-microbials. The other thing causing symptoms is this. The body needs many nutrients to work correctly. Due to damage, genetics, poor digestion, and microbial and toxin loads, the nutrients are not being absorbed into the cells, and mostly not into the brain cells. This could be from inflammation, pathogens consuming the nutrients, pathogens disrupting the nutrients, toxins taking the place of nutrient receptors, and uneven digestion. Neurotransmitters tell our brain how to work. Amino acids make our neurotransmitters. Digestion makes and absorbs our amino acids and nutrients. Thus, our digestion is a main dictator of our neurotransmitter balance. Uneven digestion means uneven neurotransmitters. Keep in mind that psych meds are meant to lower or increase certain neurotransmitters. Neurotransmitters tell us our moods, and one only has to ponder on the female's menstruation's affect on moods to understand how we can be deeply effected. Thus, get the digestion as even as possible, which is currently being done by probiotics (only certain brands will noticeably work), digestive enzymes, and many supplements that aid in digestion and decrease the gastro lining's inflammation which of course is a main reason for the digestion problems. These are short-term; long-term is to rid the toxins and pathogens. Keep in mind that all the body systems are too over-whelmed to rid toxins, which is why they are stock-piling in the first place. Thus, support for the liver will be needed, but is actually done by all kinds of gentle things. Also, keep in mind that the body can not rid the pathogens and toxins when it's not working correctly which is similar to why people can not overcome an infection even on antibiotics if their immune system is overly stressed. My trick was to help the body in lots of of ways to all add up. So, we went totally organic in food and products, removed carpeting, and avoid all smells (car exhaust, perfumes, candles, etc.). This lowers their toxin input. It's more difficult to rid toxins when they keep stock-piling them from food and their environment. The digestion is treated with several long-term, gentle things, from probiotics, to digestive enzymes, to gentle anti-inflammatories (fish oil, turmeric, and there are many). Then what you have to do is add the correct nutrients. They can not absorb nutrients correctly, so you need to buy certain vitamins and multivitamins. Your doc will have a company he likes. Most B vitamins seem to be needed in addition to the multivitamin choice, as well as Vitamin D. Some also like to give lots of Vitamin E. Each doc has their own views. Anyhow, then gentle, slow-acting antimicrobials seem to work best, since too much will overwhelm them, causing the release of more toxins then they can rid, so they will then be recirculated -- yikes! So, this is why people take nerve protectors and binders to absorb toxins. It appears that all pathogen types need to be treated (worms, virus, protozoa, bacteria, etc.) Every health practitioner has their own ways, and one way is not really better than the other. You have got to get the fine tuning down. For example, if you stop giving your child wheat, but allow him to have soda pop, don't expect change. Plus, your child may be getting wheat and you don't know about it. I have caught teachers giving my children wheat even after I had docs notes for them not to. So, that is another issue. I had one babysitter who kept giving my child apple juice even after I told her he was allergic to apples. She denied it, but I tasted his sippy cup to be sure, and then she said, "It's only a little bit." Ok, let's see what else. Most antimicrobials will bring worse symptoms before they rid symptoms. Most stop when they see a worsening, and say, "See, it didn't work." But, this is why you always learn about everything you do, so you know what to expect from each thing. For example, sometimes fish oil kills bacteria, causing some to get tics. a person may panic and stop, not knowing the good it's doing. Or they may not know that the research on fish oil showed it took months to show a decrease in ADHD symptoms. So, one may give it a few weeks, see nothing and give up on it, not knowing it works slowly over time. So, the real issue in being successful is reading your butt off and asking your doc lots of questions so you know how to use what you selected, correctly. Now, there are those with genetic issues impeding progress, so I am not saying that all should get good results. But, I will say that most can get good results. As I have said many times, the real way to get success is to seek out those with success. There are many health practitioners now who are doing autism recovery. Just want to add that there are always exceptions in that everything needs to be done correctly, and that some will be allergic or not tolerable to a certain treatment. This is why it's always best to remind everyone to seek out a knowledgeable health care practitioner to get direct advice. I know that finances are a big problem, but with searching and planning, most will be able to manage getting their goals met; it may just take a lot longer than if they were loaded with money, of course. If you want my take on HBOT or stem cells or other any kind of treatment, I think it still comes back to doing what the successful practitioners say to do. Some will always respond well and some will not, and a good practitioner will hopefully guide you with their knowledge. Anything with the ability to reduce inflammation, increase oxygen flow, and kill pathogens and rid toxins, can help if it can be done safely. Thus, not so much the treatment choice, but more the practitioner choice and doing the treatment correctly. My method was doing many small things together to get the body assisted to work correctly. Guest guest
Yes, thank you so much! Lately I'm looking into doing everything intravenously, including nutrients. It seems nothing oral ever works for our son. ....anna To: "mb12valtrex " <mb12valtrex > Sent: Saturday, October 20, 2012 5:51 PM Subject: Re: best treatment for autism Heidi u sure r smart.Well said! Guest guest
Yes, I would like to help others get a quicker start towards recovery, and I especially understand that many don't have the time that I did to research all this stuff. Heidi N > > > I have some people emailing me off list on what is the best course to take, but I like to share with everyone. Guest guest
First all want to say that nothing has cured my family. Treatments reduce loads of pathogens and toxins, but symptoms can always return when treatments are stopped. Relapse rates are high. I have heard stories of people who had been recovered for years, off of everything and then relapsed into full autism symptoms. Thus, the vulnerability will always remain in most. But, to get them healthy, it's what I described. It's not a good idea to start off with strong things, since the die-off will be great. So, gentler antimicrobials are better to start off with. I think if you took any herb off the shelf, you can research that it kills some things, and aids in some part of the body. So, not sure which are better than others. I have tried so many. I like using the ones that are considered the safest or just foods (Goji, grape skin, dandelion, etc.). There is so much to learn just from Klinghardt, that most could never find the time to do all the treatments he talks about. I stick to what I have said, it's more doing things correctly than what you choose to do. Our children have many pathogens, and there are too many things to list in one's lifetime will treat a group of them. The issue is doing it safely and correctly. I think the recovery docs are very helpful. My main foundation was Klinghardt, Lee Cowden, and Buhner. But, in reality, it could have been others. If you Google the names I just mentioned, you will find lots of information about reducing pathogens and toxins. I could mention using this and that, but everything helped for awhile and then we moved on and used other things, and in the end, all the little helps added up. It's important to understand that you are treating the body systems, and no particular item is going to do that. Everything given is to be part of a plan. So, I can not say salmon is better than cod or another EFA, but yes, it's very important to know that most are benefiting from EFA's. It's important to learn how they work, and all the choices. We recently have been using black seed oil, but it may be too strong for some if they are early in their journey. So, keep reading the forum posts and seeking practitioners until you feel a plan emerging in you. Because the recovery journey is long, you will have plenty of time to use different brands and different treatments. But, there are some who choose homeopathy or stem cell surgery or something else that uses only one thing. It still takes a while to recover, but just saying, there are also routes that only use one method. But, even they work for some and not others. Heidi N > > > I have some people emailing me off list on what is the best course to take, but I like to share with everyone. I have actually wrote a book, and will one day publish it. > > > > Love and prayers, > > > > Heidi N > > > > >
Guest guest
Thank you soo much!!!!Sent from my iPod First all want to say that nothing has cured my family. She denied it, but I tasted his sippy cup to be sure, and then she said, "It's only a little bit." > > > > Ok, let's see what else. Guest guest
Hi no , we didn't do anything against worms so far. Is there an easy way to diagnose worms ? And yes, you hit the point: hyperactivity and loud vocal stimming is now our main issue. He has started school this year but has to leave the classroom for most of the time since he is too loud. We are helpless and dont know what to do, how to calm him down Mesut > > > > > > > > > I have some people emailing me off list on what is the best course to take, but I like to share with everyone. Guest guest
So now go to SCD or GAPS diet AND treat for parasites. Give the diet at least 6 months, you are quitting protocols too quickly. See Dr Yu or Dr Klinghardt for parasites. BTW, you also did not mention treating Lyme or PANDAS or trying MMS. Also, make a list of your son's abilities, disabilities and sensory issues and perhaps we can help make better recommendations. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Love and prayers, > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Heidi N > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
During GFCF we didn't cut the sugar (also we didn't know that much about Biomeds at that time). However, some months back, we did a sugar-free diet. Still no siginificant change was visible :-( Mesut > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I have some people emailing me off list on what is the best course to take, but I like to share with everyone. Guest guest
We did a sugar-free diet as well, but also that didnt calm him much. my son is 7 yrs old. Yesterday was his birthday. He is verbal but has a very limited speech. He has fine and gross motor deficiency. Has huge propioceptive issues. Can't locate his body pakrts immediately - always has to think a little and then slowly showing the part that has been asked. He does not know where his face starts and ends. He can't read and write but knows the majority of the Alphabet. He can't sit still and neither can he stay quite. He has excesive vocal stimming which drives us , the therapists, the school aid, the teachers crazy. We have not tested him for Lyme and Pandas. I think 3-4 months should be sufficient to make a evaluation if something helps or not. Parasites and bacteria might be worth to look into. He had elevated Clostridia species in his last test. The thing is , we have started every treatment with great hopes and now need to recharge ourselves to continue this journey. we are really really exhausted. Long-term will be to kill the pathogens causing the inflammation, which will > > > take a long time because since their immune systems are weak, they will need much more help than a smidgeon of anti-microbials. Keep in mind that all the body systems are too over-whelmed to rid toxins, > > > which is why they are stock-piling in the first place. She denied it, but I tasted his sippy cup to be sure, and then she said, " It's only a little bit. " > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Ok, let's see what else. Most antimicrobials will bring worse symptoms before they rid symptoms. Most stop when they see a worsening, and say, " See, it didn't work. " But, this is why you always learn about everything you do, so you know what to expect from each thing. Guest guest
Hi Mesut, You should try the Son-Rise Program! http://www.autismtreatmentcenter.org/ In my opinion, and thousands of parents all over the World agree with me, it's the BEST therapy!!! I also hate ABA, my daughter did it for only 6 months, and thankfully after that short time I found the Son-Rise Program! She has being doing it for 2 years full-time now, and she is very connected, she loves playing with people, SHE really looks into your eyes, started talking (a little) at age 5, she improves and improves every month... and MOST IMPORTANTLY, she is a VERY HAPPY child!!! She also takes 17 supplements, she's been almost 3 years on the GFCFSF diet, I just started the anti-virus/anti-fungus tratement 2 weeks ago, she did Tomatis, homeopathy, chelation, she dos water-therapy, hourse-therapy... So I think it's really a combination of all these, that helped her to get better. But for her main therapy (she does it 6 to 7 hours per day), which is MUCH more respectfull, loving, human, than any kind of ABA, Son-Rise is definitely the answer! I have a friend whose 12 yo son just started talking after a couple of months doing Son-Rise... I know personally at least 5 recovered children with this method. Now I am giving the anti-virus a shot, really hoping it will also help my girl, just like I believed everything we tried would help! Some of them did actually help (diet, maybe some suplements, definitely Son-Rise) other things did not do anything for her (chelation, tomatis, homeopathy...) But as long as it's not too invasive and there are no nasty side-effects, I will keep trying everything that I can! Keep believing in your son! His potential has no limits!!! Everything is possible!!! Love is the answer!!! Good luck! Xexa > > > > > > > > > > > I have some people emailing me off list on what is the best course to take, but I like to share with everyone. Guest guest
I hear you that 3 to 4 months should be enough time to see if something is working, but if your child has a major problem that you are not fixing, benefits from all other treatments may be missed. Sounds like you have a major yeast problem as vocal stims are a problem. This can hide other gains. I would go broad spectrum anti pathogen treatment like tumeric or MMS. (Do not do these together as one is an oxidant and the other is an antioxidant.) If you see gains, consider trying other treatments again on top of this treatment. My son needed treatments for Lyme, strep, yeast, parasites and possibly viruses all at once together wtih diet. Looking at any one protocol at a time probably would not have lead me to sustainable gains. If you try MMS, make sure to use the baby bottle dosing method as described on www.MMSAutism.com. You start with 1 drop a day added to an 8 ounce baby bottle and give 8 doses per day away from food. It is a low, frequent dose protocol. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I have some people emailing me off list on what is the best course to take, but I like to share with everyone. If you Google, you will find that those with autism always measure having abnormally low blood flow in the brain, which is reflected in those machines which show blue or red or yellow colored images indicating blood-flow. Guest guest
yah I saw no diffrence in doing the GFCF dieteither... only when i went to GAPS and avoided his major food allergies did I see a diffrence...also I would try a diffrent enzyme such as digest spectrum To: mb12valtrex Sent: Friday, October 26, 2012 9:08 AMSubject: Re: best treatment for autism So now go to SCD or GAPS diet AND treat for parasites. Give the diet at least 6 months, you are quitting protocols too quickly. See Dr Yu or Dr Klinghardt for parasites.BTW, you also did not mention treating Lyme or PANDAS or trying MMS.Also, make a list of your son's abilities, disabilities and sensory issues and perhaps we can help make better recommendations.Caryn> > > > > > > > > > > > > I have some people emailing me off list on what is the best course to take, but I like to share with everyone. Guest guest
I adore all of you who can apply these diets. I once read that if GFCF is done, then it should be done very strictly. Even the tiniest parts of G/C must be avoided otherwise it would always throw the diet back if " accidents " happen. Hmm... honestly, how can this be done ? We tried our best best but I am sure we could not achieve a %100 GFCF diet. How is it with GAPS ? is it that strict as well ? ........ I just had a look at the website again and there it says " ...You should not do the GAPS Diet unless you are willing to fully commit to doing it properly and are willing to stick it out for 2 years if necessary. " Such strong statements are terrifying me. So, if I do the diet as good as possible but still do not see any gains in 5-6 months, do I have to continue for longer time ?? or maybe there are some foods that we took accidentally and that was the reason for not working ?? It is easy to define many and very hard rules (look at list of foods to be avoided - puhh) and then say " it didn't work since you broke the diet here and there " or " you didn't follwo it for 2 years " . As a parent, I want to be encouraged to follow the diet to see gains and also understand what happens if we have an " accident " . What is the real consequence of such accidents ? Is it really that bad or is it tolerable ? (I hope I could explain what I mean) thanks Mesut > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I have some people emailing me off list on what is the best course to take, but I like to share with everyone. Guest guest
Nystatin isn't very effective. Its sorta a myth.It doesn't go deep into the gut.The problem i see is yeast shows up less than it should.Theres alot of false negatives. My daughter showed 5 diff yeast and her behavior matched quite well with that. When i eradicated some of the yeast she definitely got better. She stopped spinning, grinding, stool looked better not green, ate better, didnt hop over walls just to get sugar or bread, stopped laughing to herself all day, slept better, speech was there in the first time since being diagnosed, and overall was better. Is it hard to rid of yeast and keep it at bay ? , Heak yeah!, but it is worth it when i saw the positives for her.It wasnt that i got some much needed sleep, but she felt better. To me thats worth all the trouble of it all.Getting her to take supps is a challenge in itself , and it takes some creative thinking.I usually mix everything and if it tastes terrible she wont take it.I found when i gave to to her half asleep real quick she would take it.I didnt so this with real gross stuff, but i do this with her multi, and her probiotic.About the diet.I have sooo much trouble with mess ups.I have 4 other kids and they arent on the diet.I am going to have to make them also.Although easier said then done.I keep the enzymes handy, and immediately give one if there is a setback. Its so hard though. To: mb12valtrex Sent: Monday, October 29, 2012 6:07 AM Subject: Re: best treatment for autism I just forgot to mention in my list below: we also used Nystatin for a while and saw neither a die-off nor any improvement. during this Nystatin phase we also cut down sugar to an absolut minimum, in order to starve out the yeast. I hear so many times "it must be yeast" but on the other hand there is no reliable proof for this. The lab tests may not give reliable results. I once read about a test. A stool sample was brought directly to the lab within some hours and from the same stool another sample was sent via courier which arrived next day. The "fresh" sample showed up Candida but the delayed one didn't show Candida. OK, if the lab tests are not reliable, shall I (we) then just believe that there must be "yeast" ? Please do not get me wrong but I find it hard to start a treatment just based on beliefs. .....and in all these things, another challenge we have is that my Son doesn't swallow pills/Capsules (unless they taste like gummybears :-) So, this is another limiting factor for administering too many supplements. Long-term will be to kill the pathogens causing the inflammation, which will > > > > > take a long time because since their immune systems are weak, they will need much more help than a smidgeon of anti-microbials. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > The other thing causing symptoms is this. You can do this short-term by treating for inflammation, blood-thinners, blood vessel dilators, etc. Long-term will be to kill the pathogens causing the inflammation, which > > will > > > > take a long time because since their immune systems are weak, they will need much more help than a smidgeon of anti-microbials. She denied it, but I tasted his sippy cup to be sure, and then she said, " It's only a little bit. " > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Ok, let's see what else. Most antimicrobials will bring worse symptoms before they rid symptoms. Most stop when they see a worsening, and say, " See, it didn't work. " But, this is why you always learn about everything you do, so you know what to expect from each thing. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Love and prayers, > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Heidi N > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
The orgânic acid test performed by grait plains laboratory is very reliable. Also check the symptoms of candida - yeast. Some doctors prefer Diflucan than Nystatin.Have You considered going to the States for treatment? Enviado via iPadEm 29/10/2012, às 08:07, "Mesut" escreveu: I just forgot to mention in my list below: we also used Nystatin for a while and saw neither a die-off nor any improvement. during this Nystatin phase we also cut down sugar to an absolut minimum, in order to starve out the yeast. Guest guest
We continue with Homeopathy and are seeing Pierre Fontaine. We are doing the sessions via skype and I even went to see him when he came to France this summer. Believe me , from one small German town to go to another small French town can be a challenge but I did it. We are now at Remedy #10 or 11 but no change so far. I also have seen a second homeopath to eliminate vaccines - again without a gain. (I went to this 2nd Homeopath since I read about another child who almost have recovered in just weeks. It was a post in a German Forum.) Maybe we are giving up too quick but I also don't want to continue on a dead-end road. If the therapy, whatever it is , is going to work, then I believe I should see something negative (like die-off, initial worsening, immune reaction ..) or something positive in 2-3 months. I'm a clinical social worker. I can't seem to get a response to my emails from their website. Would you know who I would contact?RuthSent from my iPhone Hi Mesut, You should try the Son-Rise Program! http://www.autismtreatmentcenter.org/ In my opinion, and thousands of parents all over the World agree with me, it's the BEST therapy!!! She denied it, but I tasted his sippy cup to be sure, and then she said, "It's only a little bit." > > > > > > > > > > > > Ok, let's see what else. > > > > > > > > > > > > Love and prayers, > > > > > > > > > > > > Heidi N > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Awesome! Thx so much. Sent from my iPhone Hi Ruth,For information on the Son-Rise Program, you should contact: : Phone: orLori Pete: Phone: I recommend trying first. He is a dad (of a recovered child) and he is really nice and friendly!Lori is great too, but is extra sweet!Good luck!XexaTo: mb12valtrex From: dan-ruth-setlak@...Date: Sat, 27 Oct 2012 00:10:23 -0400Subject: Re: Re: best treatment for autism Xexa -I am interested in learning Son-rise methods.
