Guest guest
This happened today: Elena in the shopping cart at the cash register line: veee cheee, veee cheee, veee cheee.... Young man behind us: What is she saying? Me: She has autism, she repeats things from TV and other places. What she says is not necessarily relevant to what is going on. Young man: I bet it is. We just don't know it. Me: You're right. I see a hammered dulcimer right there. (Okay, I didn't say that. I just smiled. Hammered dulcimer is an instrument mentioned in Jack's Big Music Show that Elena repeats all day, every day.) Elena is actually improving a ton day by day. A couple of her therapists said she is showing the speediest recovery they have ever seen. It's just that now that she can talk, she won't stop.
