Hi all. I'm almost 3 years out from surgery and lost 135 pounds.

I'm feeling great, maintaining my weight loss within 5 lbs and all

blood tests reveal I'm healthy. I feel fabulous. My question to

all of you is I'm in my 40's and thinking of becoming pregnant. I

will consult my OBGYN before I do anything but wondering how you all

feel of the safety of a 40+ year old woman considering her 1st child.

ly, when I was younger and MO, I couldn't even think that I

could take care of an infant. I was always so tired and depressed I

wasn't in the right frame of mind. Now, I feel like I'm 15 years

younger and doing so much and feel I have so much to give.

I realize being 43 is old to have a baby -- but should I consider

it? Is it overly risky? Will the baby be healthy? Gosh, I could

go on and on with the questions/concerns.

I value the opinions of all my fellow gastric bypass ladies. Look

forward to hearing objective opinions.

Thanks, Colleen
