Guest guest
You don't take any other vitamin since you had your GP surgery? Which kind of surgery did you have? I was lazy and stopped taking my vitamins for about 3 months and developed a SEVERE Vitamin D deficiency that took 7 mos to clear up with weekly Vit D injections. (Not fun and very expensive!) > It depends on your bloodwork.. I only take prenatals since everything is > within limits. > > > > >
Guest guest
I talked to my OB about this once. I was afraid that because of my malabsorbtion that I would not get enough vitamins for me and baby. She told me not to over do it because I could overdose the vitamin A and that would cause birth defects. She told me that a perscription strenght prenat, folic acid, calcium and maybe some extra vitamin B would be all I needed. Currently I take: 1 perscription prenat, 1 Folic Acid, 1 B complex, 1 B12 sublingal and 2000mg of Calcium Citrate. I am the worst about the calcium because I dont want to take it with the others and then later I forget to take it. Besides it is like taking chalk. Yuk. I have also had the good ole constipation problem since day one. I now take 200-300 mg of colace everyday to keep reg. It has helped alot. I was told that I could take Citricel fiber and colace and if that still didnt work then my other option was enema's. I have had to resort to that last one on several occasions. Just thought I would share my daily regime. ~HUGS~ Shalonda > > It depends on your bloodwork.. Guest guest
Hi Shalonda.... Were you taking any other vitamin prior to getting pregnant? And if so, did you stop taking that other vitamin? Not to be gross or nosey but I read alot of people talking about Constipation. What causes this? My experince, ever since GP surgery in 1997 has been to typically have looser movements. So to have constipation would be a bit turnaround! Just curious what the cause of it is. THANKS Again! > > > It depends on your bloodwork..
