He wants to wait a year to ttc -- I want to NOW!

Hi, all

I need some advice here. I am 18 months out from RNY, and my weight

is stable. I am 36 years old. We want a baby. but he wants to

wait a year (he is a family practice resident and will be close to

finishing in a year.) My doc told me to try NOW because of my age

and the risk of decreased fertility. It took 7 tries to conceive my

daughter, but I was also obese then too.

Any advice on how to convince him that now is better than later? I

fear that if we wait a year, then if it takes a long time to

conceive, I'll be 38 or 39 when i have the kid.
