Guest guest
My son was on spironolactone a few years ago for inflamation. We did not see any positive changes from using it. My son is not a gut kid and never had bowel issues. The spironolactone made him constipated so we had to give him oxypowder daily to keep things moving. Constipation is a fairly common side effect from spironolactone. To: mb12valtrex Sent: Tuesday, December 11, 2012 1:23 AM Subject: Spironolactone experience anyone?? Hi everyone, Just wondering if anybody has experience with spironolactone? I am getting inclined to start it for my 9 year old who has increased adrenal androgens as well as brain inflammation. Spironolactone helps reducing both of them. If anyone has any experience with it, please share. Thanks is
Guest guest
Thanks . I guess because it is a diuretic, it makes u pee more and increases the water requirement even more. I am scared to give it a try as my son keeps getting episodes of excessive thirst while on antifungal treatments. He may benefit from it for a different reason which is increased androgens. How long did u use it for? Thanks is > > My son was on spironolactone a few years ago for inflamation. We did not see any positive changes from using it. Guest guest
It was great for us for behavior (calmed him some) and language (words began to have meaning for him), but we had to stop because the urine accidents were out of control.-Crystal
