Guest guest
Hello everyone, My son is six years old autistic, non verbal and low functioning was very happy on valtrex with almost zero anxiety and now any sound or any small change in the routine freaks him out. I called his DAN doctor he placed a refill for it and told us to resume it back but my husband didn't want to because of side effects on long term use and said to replace it with OLE and epsom salt baths as we were advised from the group and see how it goes until our next appointment with our DAN next week. My son can't hear the knock on the door and can't tolerate the telephone rings or any loud voices unlike before. If anyone can tell the reason of using Valtrex and how it help the autistic child? How long should be taken? The reason of regressing after stopping it? I can't do much search since this regress my life is upside down with his mood swings and tantrums and have to look after my two years old son. Your help would be appreciated. Thanks, Alia
