Guest guest
Hi friends. We just found out our 7 year old tested positive for Babesia and we will be starting him on Mepron very soon. Any experiences or advice??? Thank you! Liz
Guest guest
If you don't have a LLMD you may want to get one. It is rare for a child with autism to have just babesia and not Lyme and other coinfections. At minimum, suspect a Lyme infection. Mepron is usually coadministered with zithromax for best effectiveness. Other supplements we used for Babesia were arteminisin and also Cryptolepsis. Treatment should be long term, probably a minimum of a year. Join borreliamutlipleinfectionsandautism yahoo group. Also, your child was probably born with this and you are likely positive too. Symptoms you may have include high fevers when you run a fever, frequently cold or chills, vivid and often scary dreams, air hunger, strong gag reflex, hyperacusis, balance issues and bumps on backs of the arms. Feel free to contact me directly with any questions or concerns. Caryn Reid > > Hi friends. Guest guest
Hi Caryn, Thank you for the information. He has just also been diagnosed with Lyme as well (yesterday), just took a little longer to get the test results back. Already on antibiotics + Sawmento. The summer of 2010, we noticed a funny rash on C's chest and took a picture - it wasn't a perfect bulls-eye, but it is now suspected that yhis was a bite. I'm sure my whole family should be tested, just because of where we live and how much time we spend outdoors. > > > > Hi friends.
